BCHS Students Reach Out To Those In Need

Leadership Students at Beach Channel High School participated in a 'Chore for Change" program, sponsored by the Heifer International Service Learning Program. Pictured are students Sarah Mohammad, Destiny Gilbert, Daybeliz Ramirez and Rebecca Sanchez, who organized a week-long bake sale to reach their goal of $150 to buy a llama for a family in need. The llama will be presented to a struggling family in a third world country. Llamas provide transportation and wool for blankets, ponchos, carpets and rope that can be sold for extra income. They are hardy animals who are rarely sick. The students expressed the "hope that our good deed can be very useful for those in need."
