SFDS Teams Storm Past Opponents

Lady of Grace won the subnovice division. For SFDS 'A', Kathryn Gibson and Lauren Peters received all-tournament honors, while Emily Carlton was awarded for sportsmanship.

Jenna McCann and Therese Gallagher were named to the all-tournament team and Lauren Guidarelli received the sportsmanship Award for SFDS 'B'.

St. Thomas More won the Pee Wee division in an 18-17 thriller over St. Margaret. For SFDS 'B', Emma Knox and Kayla Kilgallen were named all-tournament players and Renee Simos received the sportsmanship award.

St. Francis took the Novice division with a 16-7 win over Good Shepherd. Meghan Atwood was Tournament MVP. Casey McDade received the sportsmanship award and all-tournament honors went to Therese Boyle and Meaghan King.

The Bantams made it two in a row for St. Francis with a win over St. Thomas More 34-27. Taylor Butigan was MVP, Marissa Scotto and Lynn Rayder all-tournament and Erin Blum won the sportsmanship award.

The SFDS Rookies were victorious in outlasting Our Lady of Hope. Deirdre Ray garnered MVP honors. Maegen Reed and Casey Collins were all-tournament while Paige Whelan was the sportsmanship recipient.

In the Intermediate championship, Epiphany completed the Peggy Boyle Tournament by beating OLMC.

For St. Francis, Annette Scotto and Rebecca Moers were all-tournament and Vanessa Ramos was the sportsmanship honoree. The expansion of the tournament proved a great success and many thanks are due to Tournament Chairpersons Elaine Scotto, Ronald Whelan, and Jay Boyle, and all our volunteers, especially the Kitchen Committee, the Scorers Committee led by Jack Bender along with Dan Edwards and the Graybeards.
