The St. Thomas More Intermediate B Basketball team won the Queens championship on March 25 in a hard fought game against Immaculate Conception.

St. Thomas More had a 15 point first half lead, but Immaculate cut the lead to three points in the second half. The boys hung tough just as they did all year, and came away with the win.

The team finished undefeated for the year, and it was a tribute to the hard work and team spirit that the kids displayed all year as everyone contributed. The motto was "play as hard as you can for as long as you're in the game."

It didn't matter if you started the game as effort was the key. The coach said that best of all, the kids had fun, learned the importance of perseverance and now know what it means to be part of a team.

The coaches and the whole parish are extremely proud of the kids who don't know the word quit.
