Fisheads Host Playoff Game At Aviator Complex

The Rockaway Fisheads are gearing up for their first round playoff match to be played underneath the bright lights of Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn on April 15.

The Rockaway rugby team will play their first Northeast Rugby postseason match at the sparkling new facility on the grounds of Floyd Bennett Field on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to see the Fisheads battle against South Shore Football Club from Boston, Massachusetts.

After the game is completed, there will be a post-game party inside the Aviator Sports Complex.

Rockaway Rugby will prepare for its playoff match with a tuneup game against Montclair RFC on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Fort Tilden.

The Fisheads practice every Thursday night at Fort Tilden and are always looking for new players to join.

"We have been on the road for the previous 3 play-offs and lost a few squeakers. The home field can make all the difference and we are counting on the community to get behind us," Rockaway Rugby's Bob Johnson said. Aviator Sports Complex at Floyd Bennett Field is located on Flatbush Avenue, just north of the Marine Parkway Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge.
