Discuss ABTS Employment Opportunities

A CB14 Urban Planning Subcommittee meeting to report on the hiring activities of the Arverne by the Sea project took place at Peninsula Hospital on Tuesday, March 27. Representatives for Arverne by the Sea, including project manager Gerry Romski and Benjamim Beechwood/ABTS consultant Darryl Greene, discussed employment issues centered on new projects in development that impact residents of the peninsula. Members of ENACT (Edgemere Neighborhood Action Community Team) moved their monthly meeting so they could attend and express their opinions on hiring issues. Pictured are Romski and Greene as they listen to ENACT member Ernest Brown comment on needs of the community for employment opportunities and getting a fair share of dollars being infused into the community.

Delores Orr, CB14 Chairperson, and other members of the Urban Planning Board listen to a local resident of Water's Edge explain the lack of information regarding employment opportunities.
