100 Pct.Honors Queens Narcotics Detectives

Investigation Netted Dozens At Hammels The 100 Precinct Community Council honored two detectives from the Queens Narcotics Division Wednesday night with "Cop of the Month" awards for January, 2007. Detectives Joseph Dunne (left) and Michael DiMeglio (second from left) conducted an undercover investigation at the Hammel Houses that resulted in almost 60 indictments for drug-related charges earlier this year. "It was a lot of hard work, and their work is going to positively affect the community for a long time," said Captain Charles Neacy, the commanding officer of the 100 Precinct (second from right) who, along with council president Danny Ruscillo (right) presented the men with their honorary plaques. Captain Steven Zolga and Sergeant Keith DeGiorgio (not shown) supervised the five-month-long investigation and attended the council meeting.
