Sergeants' Stakeout Busts Armed Cabbie Thieves

Sergeants Stanley Xenakis (left) and Kevin Komorsky (center) were honored Wednesday night by the 100 Precinct Community Council, which presented them with the "Cop of the Month" award for February, 2007. The sergeants staked out a spot on Beach 72 Street last month and busted twin brothers who were allegedly armed and waiting to prey on a taxi cab driver. The suspects are charged with other similar robberies and a home-invasion incident. "[Xenakis and Komorsky] did a nice piece of police work, ladies and gentlemen, and they deserve our recognition," said the precinct commander, Captain Charles Neacy (right).Sergeants Stanley Xenakis (left) and Kevin Komorsky (center) were honored Wednesday night by the 100 Precinct Community Council, which presented them with the "Cop of the Month" award for February, 2007.
