SJEH Advisory Board Hears From Sirota
Sheldon Sirota, DO, Director of the Osteopathic Medicine Residency Programs at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, spoke at the meeting of the Community Advisory Board of St. John's on Wednesday, March 15. During his presentation, Dr. Sirota discussed the achievements of the residency program that currently has 85 American Osteopathic Association-approved positions and is affiliated with Touro University College of Medicine. The program has expanded its training specialties and now offers residencies in dermatology, family practice, obstetrics/gynecology, ophthalmology and surgery. The Hospital also offers a free-standing allopathic (MD) program of internal medicine and an independent residency program in podiatry, as well as affiliated residencies in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pediatrics and psychiatry.
