Nembhard, Speller Named PHC Employees Of The Month
Peninsula Hospital Center and Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation (PCECR) have recently chosen their March Employees of the Month. This month's honorees are Llewellyn "Lee" Speller, Lead Security Officer for the Hospital Center's security department and Carolin Nembhard, a Certified Nurse Assistant at PCECR.
Speller has been employed at the Hospital Center since 1983, and his nomination for the Employee of the Month distinction came from his supervisor, Michael Valentino, Director of Security, who considers Speller an "outstanding employee" with a "unique feel for the hospital." According to Valentino, Speller is intimately familiar with every nook and cranny of the Hospital Center. His co-workers consider him a conscientious employee with an admirable work ethic.
Carolin Nembhard, CNA, has been working at the Extended Care and Rehabilitation facility for the past 17 years. She, too, was recommended by her supervisor, who stressed Nembhard's professionalism and efficiency at her position as a Certified Nurse Assistant. Testimonials from her co-workers attest to the fact that she always "goes above and beyond" her assigned tasks. Aside from the fact that she is extremely dedicated and empathetic, Nembhard stands out as an outstanding employee because of the time and energy she expends on helping out in the orientation of new staff and because she is well loved and respected by all of the residents she attends.
