Stan's Pepper Steppers Flash To Double Dutch Victory

The speedy Stan's Pepper Steppers won the highest speed award at the 1st Annual Speed Jump Off held on March 10, 2007 at IS 219 (Charles Drew School) in the Bronx. The doubles team of Laa'Neisha Jones, Katherine Rocha, Alaisysia Woodard, and Peter Alvarez won the top speed honors. The other team members won second and third place honors in the advanced and novice divisions.

The members of the team, who are coached by Stan Brown and who represent the Sorrentino Recreational Center, are as follows: Advanced Jumpers: Laa'Neisha Jones, Katherine Rocha, Alaisyia Woodard, Peter Alvarez, Robeisha Davis, Jessica Berrios, Jasmine Hamlet, Nadine Harrison and Destiny Alvarez. Novice Jumpers: Oksana Bonny, Nateja Smith, Takema Bethea, Niya Dubose, Nikkole Frey, Brianna Murphy, Niamaya Canady, Melissa Spence and Ty-aja Wade, Tamia, Williams, Melissa Nieves and Jayda- Ann Douglas. Chaperones : Terry Dubose, Shirley Canady, Audrey Murphy, Shamell Allah and Tajianna Spence.
