Francis To Study In Switzerland

Robert Francis, a senior majoring in hospitality and tourism management at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, is spending the spring break studying in the Swiss Alps. Francis is a resident of Rockaway Beach.

Seniors enrolled in the program are required to visit and study Switzerland because the Swiss developed the "art" of inn keeping and set levels of service considered the gold standard for the industry, according to Dr. Richard Wisch, Associate Dean and Director of the University's International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Francis and his fellow students will stay in Engelberg at the Edelweiss Hotel and visit the Victoria Jungfrau Hotel in Interlaken, a leading hotel of the world. Students also stay for two nights at the Movenpick Zurich Hotel where they take an in-house tour followed by a tour of Zurich, with a visit to the town of Rapperswill.
