SJEH Hosts Successful Blood Drive

The blood drive at St. John's Episcopal Hospital held on Monday, February 13, 2007, collected blood for the Long Island Blood Center. "We are very grateful to everyone who braved the cold to come out to donate blood, "said John Boyle, PhD, Director of the Hospital's Laboratory Services and blood drive chairman. "Donating blood is literally the gift of life. Without the generous support of our donors, among the community and the staff, we would not have an adequate supply to treat those in need," he added. The team who coordinated the blood drive included (from left to right): Robert Yahn, volunteer; Belinda Yahn, Laboratory; Margaret Carey, Laboratory; and Dr. John Boyle, Laboratory Director.
