John C. Flaherty Retired Teamster Local #814

John C. Flaherty, a Rockaway resident for 12 years coming from Jackson Heights, died February 18.

Flaherty, a retired teamster for Local #814, was born in Manhattan.

He is survived by his wife, Helene Connaughton Flaherty; daughters, Cheryl Bobby (John), Karen Flaherty, Christine Flaherty and Jean Marie Flaherty; brother, Patrick Flaherty of Troy, New York; sister, Ann Damm of Florida; and grandchildren, Lauren and Kara Bobby.

Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment was at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.

Eva B. Foltz

Homemaker

Eva B. Foltz, a Rockaway resident for five years coming from Flushing, died February 21.

Foltz, a homemaker, was born in the Bronx. She was also the wardrobe director for the Breezy Point Teen Show for many years.

Foltz was preceded in death by her daughter, Lovette Foltz Burns.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Foltz; son-in-law, Robert Burns; grandchildren, Caroline, Robert, Donna and Richard Burns; and great-grandchildren, Robert and Kaitlyn Burns.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 23 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church in Rockaway Point. Interment will be held at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery in Flushing, New York.

Margaret Keane

Homemaker

Margaret Keane, a lifelong Rockaway resident, died February 19.

Keane, a homemaker, was born in New York City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward.

Keane is survived by her daughter, Deborah Berkowitz; sons, Kenneth, William and Edward; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Camillus Church. Interment was at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.

Thomas J. McKeon

Retired FDNY Captain

Thomas J. McKeon, a lifelong Rockaway resident, died February 17.

McKeon, a retired FDNY captain for Ladder 103, was born in Rockaway Park. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. McKeon was a member of Parish Ministry at St. Francis de Sales.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, John, Peter and William.

McKeon is survived by 25 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment was at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.

William A. Nolan

Retired FDNY Firefighter

William A. Nolan, a Rockaway resident for 18 years coming from Midwood, Brooklyn, died February 21.

Nolan, a retired firefighter for the FDNY, was born in Brooklyn. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Nolan was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church in Belle Harbor.

He is survived by his wife, Ann McCarthy Nolan; son, William M. Nolan; daughter, Barbara Ciccarelli; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Paul and Victoria Nolan and Michael, Christopher and Lynn Ciccarelli.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, with visitation to be held on Friday, February 23, 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday, February 24 at 10:45 a.m. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New York Firefighter's Burn Center Foundation, 21 Asch Loop, Brooklyn, New York 10475.

Anna V. Quinn

NYC Board of Ed. Supervisor

Anna V. Quinn, a Rockaway resident for nearly 70 years coming from the Bronx, died February 20.

Quinn, a retired supervisor for the NYC Board of Education, was born in the Bronx. She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Seabreeze Club.

Quinn is survived by her nephews, Owen Quinn (Sally) and Rory Quinn (Jane); and niece, Maryellen Quinn.

Diana A. Tamburinelli

Legal Secretary

Diana A. Tamburinelli, a Rockaway resident for 13 years coming from Brooklyn, died February 20.

Tamburinelli, a legal secretary, was born in Italy.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Repetto.

Tamburinelli is survived by her husband, Lambert; son, Errol (Marla); and daughter, Patricia Gorman (Raymond).

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, with visitation to be held on Friday, February 23, 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church in Belle Harbor. Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Jean Titone

Homemaker

Jean Titone, a Rockaway resident for 28 years coming from Flatbush, died February 19.

Titone, a homemaker, was born in New York City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Titone.

Titone is survived by her sons, Alfred and Michael; grandchildren, Regina DiCiervo and Catherine Titone; and great-grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher and Nicholas.
