Woman Injured In ATM Robbery At Arverne Bank
An unidentified local woman was injured on Wednesday, February 14, when a man wielding a knife accosted her at the ATM outside of the Bank of America branch in Arverne and demanded her money. Police say that the woman gave up $360 to the still-unidentified man but was cut slightly on the neck. She was transported to Peninsula Hospital Center, where she was reportedly treated and released. The robber fled in an old-model sports utility vehicle north on Beach 67 Street, where police think, he hit another car and fled.
