Winter 'Animal Sign' Walk At Ft. Tilden

A park ranger with the National Park Service at Gateway National Recreation Area will lead children and parents through back dunes and shore habitats on a "Winter Animal Sign Walk."

The children's program, scheduled for Sunday, February 18 at 1 p.m. in Ft. Tilden, will have indoor and outdoor activities to help aid in the search for animal tracks and clues in nature. Participants are asked to dress accordingly for the weather, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants will meet at the Ft. Tilden Visitor Contact Station.

The walk is free but reservations are required. For more information or to reserve, call the Ft. Tilden Visitor Contact Station at 718-318-4300.

For more information on other programs offered at Gateway may pick up a program guide at any park location or visit their website at www.nps.gov/gate.
