PS/MS 43 Students Sketch City Sculptures

PS/MS 43 art teacher Jo Anne Ellis selected several seventh graders to travel to the Brooklyn Bridge on November 21, where they walked over the bridge and sketched the Manhattan skyline. Once they warmed up with cocoa, the group headed to City Hall Park, where they sketched sculptures by Alexander Calder. After lunch at McDonald's on Broadway, they headed back to the school on the A train. The students had an enjoyable day drawing and taking in city sights. Pictured are the students sketching a Calder sculpture.
