Man Killed In Accident On Seagirt Boulevard

An athletic shoe, a scullcap and debris from the work of the emergency medical technicians are all that is left on Seagirt Boulevard nearby Beach 19 Street after an automobile struck two men who were crossing the four-lane road. Police say that Francisco Raymundo-Reyes, 30, of 12-61 Central Avenue in Far Rockaway and an unidentified 39-year-old Rockaway man were crossing the boulevard at about 3:15 p.m. on December 3 when they were struck by a 2002 Nissan going eastbound. The still-unidentified female driver of the car stopped and police say that there is no criminality involved in the crash. Raymundo-Reyes was transported to St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. The man with Raymundo-Reyes was transported to Jamaica hospital where his condition was recently changed from critical to serious.
