The Brag Bag
By Robin Shapiro

ROBIN SHAPIRO
Congratulations to Catherine and John Davis on their 56th wedding anniversary. Also, happy anniversary wishes to their daughters, Theresa Sutterlin and husband Rusty (21 years) and Colleen McHale and her husband, John (16 years).

Happy birthday to Kevin Gallagher (youngest daughter, Noreen's husband). The Davis clan will all be together celebrating their first Christmas as Rockaway residents.

Get well wishes to Blossom Fraiman, who broke her shoulder. She'll be recuperating for about a month. I'm happy to report that Billy Corsello is back at work after his accident. You might have to look hard to find him - he's lost 50 pounds.

Congratulations also to Wave Managing Editor Howie Schwach, who has lost 35 pounds over the past months and is below 200 pounds for the first time in more than a decade.

Many of our local kids participated in the Leon M. Goldstein High School "sing" over the weekend. Congratulations to the junior-sophomore group on their unusual victory over the senior-freshman. A lot of hard work went into their performance and everybody was a winner.

A great time was had by all at The Wave's annual holiday party at Pier 92. All the gifts went to the Ronald McDonald Foundation to help the families of sick kids.

The food and the entertainment were great and the company was even better with the entire staff of The Wave and many of their columnists in attendance.

Happy Holidays to all.

See you again in 2007.
