Sorrentino/ Health Plus Announce Little League Season

The Sorrentino Recreational Center have announced registration for the Health Plus/P.A.L./City of N.Y./ Parks and Recreation Little League baseball season, which will start on June 24. Registration, which ends this Saturday, May 20, will be on a first come first served basis and will take place at the Sorrentino Center at 1848 Cornaga Avenue in Far Rockaway.

Practices will be held every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at O'Donahue Park, located at Beach 17th Street and Seagirt Blvd. Two divisions will consist of 12 and under co-ed and 13-15 co-ed. The Center is looking for kids who will head to high school in the fall or are currently freshman to maintain their skills in the 13-15 division.

12 and under games will be played on Saturdays 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Afternoon games for the 13-15 year old teams will start at 1 and 3 p.m.

The Little League is also looking for volunteer coaches and officials to apply and participate. or further information about other programs at the center, call 718-471-4818. The Sorrentino Recreational Center is located on 18-48 Cornaga Avenue.
