Click Here for More Information Rockaway Rotary 27th Annual Ocean Run The Rockaway Rotary 27th Annual Ocean Run will take place on Sunday, April 30 at 10 a.m. starting on the ocean end of Beach 116 Street. The boardwalk run features two races, a 5K and quarter-mile children's race. A post race party with food and refreshments and an awards presentation will take place at the Irish Circle, 101-19 Rockaway Beach Boulevard. T-shirts and race numbers should be picked up on the race day between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. No numbers will be issued after 10 a.m. Participants can register early by mail (postmarked by April 25) for a $15 race charge, or pay $18 on the day of the race; a $5 fee is required for child participants under 10 years of age. The money collected for the run will be given to many organizations, including Peninsula Hospital Center, 100 Precinct Community Council, the St. Camillus Youth Program, and the Rockaway Music and Arts Council.
