Acting on confidential information and a warrant issued by Judge O'Donahue of the Queens Criminal Court, police hit the private home at 6:10 in the morning last Friday. The raid was led by Captain Charles Neacy, the Commanding Officer of the 100 Precinct in Rockaway Beach. The precinct's Special Operations chief, Lieutenant Paul Hatcher, Sergeant Joseph Cerrato, the precinct's field intelligence officer and Detective Marcus Stewart, the precinct's conditions coordinator also took part. Officers searching the apartment found five pounds of marijuana, a quantity of crack cocaine, three scales and a large amount of material used for processing and packing drugs, according to police officials. In addition to the drugs and drug paraphernalia, cops reportedly turned up two 9-millimeter automatic handguns, a sawed-off .22 caliber rifle and nearly 100 rounds of ammunition. They also found $7,454 in cash inside the house. Arrested inside the home were Paul Hermonstyne, 35; Darren Green, 21; Philip Stevenson, 23; Acie Wilson, 29; Kisha Weeks, 18; and Ashley Obey, 17. Both Green and Wilson were identified as members of the Bloods. All of those arrested were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
