Sorrentino Announces Little League Baseball

The first place Sorrentino Indoor Soccer team.
The Sorrentino Recreational Center have announced they will start registration today for the Health Plus/ P.A.L./City of N.Y./ Parks and Recreation Little League Baseball season, which will start in June.

Registration will be on a first come first served basis and will take place at the Sorrentino Center at 1848 Cornaga Avenue in Far Rockaway. Two divisions will consist of 12 and under co-ed and 13-15 co-ed.

12 and under games will be played on Saturdays 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Afternoon games for the 13-15 year old teams will start at 1 and 3 p.m. at O'Donahue Park, located at Beach 17th Street and Seagirt Blvd.

Sorrentino Center's three soccer teams will compete in the first round of the Queens indoor soccer championships on March 27 at 5 p.m. at Lost Battalion Hall. The championship game held on April 3 at 5:00pm.

The Sorrentino Recreational Center are proud to announce that the six boys and girls who competed at Who's the Man/Can She Hang One on One Citywide Basketball Tournament held in Staten Island last weekend advanced to the citywide championships at Basketball City in Chelsea Piers on April 2.

Here are the boys and girls winners in each category: 9 year old girls- Brianna Neblett. 10 years old boys- Christopher Davis Jr. 11 years old girls- Jasmine Nwajei. 11 years old boys- Isaiah McFadden. 13 year old girls- Eva Nwajei. 13 year old boys- Marlon Johnson.
