Body Found On Far Rockaway Beach

At press time, detectives from the 101 Precinct in Far Rockaway were investigating the death of a still-unidentified man found on the beach at Beach 14 Street in Far Rockaway early in the morning on Thursday, February 23. While police officials are withholding information pending the ongoing investigation, The Wave has learned that the man was wearing a patient bracelet from the Peninsula Hospital Center in Arverne. The hospital center told The Wave that the unidentified man had been a patient at that facility and that, “Pursuant to an appropriate evaluation, he was found capable of making his own healthcare decisions. Unfortunately, he left the Hospital Center against medical advice.”
