Must Call Verizon For Rebates

A spokesperson for Verizon is urging those customers who lost their phone service during the recent service outage to call the company if they have not already done so.

Heather Wilner, a company spokesperson, told The Wave this week that reimbursement for lost service will be made to all of those customers who called and reported trouble on their line.

“The outage was sporadic,” Wilner said. “The company only knows about outages of those who called to report trouble. Those who lost service and have not yet told Verizon about it should call the company.”

Wilner said that all of the interrupted service has been restored, but that it’s always possible for isolated problems after an outage such as the one that struck Rockaway three weeks ago.

Verizon statements list (718) 890-6611 as the number for Rockaway residents to call.
