Driver As ‘Wrecked’ As His Car: Cops

A Brooklyn man was intoxicated last Friday night when he lost control of his 1998 Nissan Altima and smashed into a tree on Cross Bay Boulevard in Broad Channel, police said. Daniel R. Roman, 55, was placed under arrest after he was extracted from his vehicle at about 7:30 p.m. He was taken by EMS ambulance to Jamaica Hospital where he was treated for injuries that were not life threatening. Officers found alcoholic beverages in his car, which was being held this week at the 100 Precinct.
