Local Reflects On Birthdays Past

Muriel Stemmann (nee Berry) celebrated her 84th birthday on Sunday, January 15. She shared with The Wave a photo of her sixteenth birthday party. In attendance were Red Ford Bud, Andy and Fred Scheer (cousins), June Kramer, Walter and Dick Asher, Henry Redeau, Henry and Eva Hausmann, Jean Schroeder, Clara Miller, Lucille Lomax, Victor Lindbergh, Norma Phillips, Ruth Bollermann, Tommy Kerrigan, Bobby Gill, Geraldine Kase, Chicky and George Thompson, Dotty Christian, Leroy Cole, Bobby Gillen, Elsie Ott, Mom and Pop and the two young Bob Berry’s. She asks that if there is anyone still around the neighborhood to drop her a line. Stemmann still lives in “the old homestead” on the boulevard across from Hildebrand Funeral Home in Broad Channel.
