Connelly Dancers Are Solid Gold

The Dancers of Connelly Centers for the Performing Arts traveled to Stamford, Connecticut from January 13 to January 15, where they competed at the Regional Dance Competition, “Access Broadway.”

The dancers all performed well at the highly competitive and nationally recognized event, which consisted of more than 500 acts. The hip-hop trio of Angela Hernandez, Stephanie Shapiro and Tara Shea took home gold, as did the Small Group of Alaythia Cooper, Amanda Garcia, Amanda Hernandez, Stephanie Shapiro, Tara Shea and Attallah Sophas. In the Small Group Tap, Amanda Hernandez, Rachel Shapiro, Stephanie Shapiro and Tara Shea also secured gold. In her Tap Solo, Amanda Hernandez won gold as well. The youngest of the competitors, Martha Bennett and Alexis Dizon, earned high gold for their Song & Dance Duet.


The Connelly dancers all came home with high marks and medals for their performances at a regional dance competition.
