The Inner Voice by Marilyn Gelfand

If someone said to you, what energy do you think governs our planet, what would you think?

Power or love or greed?

Many of us live isolated lives forgetting that the outer world affects us in ways we don’t think about daily.

We raise our families, work and maintain our surroundings and spend time with people we enjoy, and suddenly the outer world is there.

Things like health coverage or job security are affected by the values of those in charge of our society. We already know that their words are often meaningless as in political campaign promises. So, if we are busy in our everyday lives, we are not so concerned about the agenda of the government or who lobbies them.

If our society stressed love and the good of all concerned, then we would have more congruence between our home and outer lives.

Some of our homes are not so easy to live in, but what if the energy on the planet was different to be born into?

We are born into the planet’s energy. Now with more international communication, the energy is fed in one place and can be spread like a wildfire through our communications networks. To me, the world is currently in an energy of greed and power, with small pockets of love and compassion. The power feeds the greed and the creation of fear makes the people controllable. With fear, comes self-doubt and insecurity and so people don’t know which way to turn. The important point is that we can remain focused regardless of the energy around us and then allow our own intuition to guide us to where we need to be at any present moment.

Sometimes it is hard to trust ourselves or the God/Universe connection when one is afraid, but that is how you find out that it is real.
