Queens Library Offers Free Tax Counseling

Make this spring “less taxing” by utilizing the Free Individual Income Tax counseling program available at several Queens library locations.

Counselors trained by the IRS offer assistance in completing 2005 personal income tax returns for low-income adults, and is provided by the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and Benevolent Tax Professional Services, Inc. Admission is free and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Two local branches are providing the tax counseling service:

February 1- April 12

Wednesdays, 1-5 p.m.

Tax Counselor: AARP

Far Rockaway Branch

February 7- April 11

Tuesdays, 1-5 p.m.

For more information on the tax counseling program, contact the Queens Library at (718) 990-0700, or visit their website at www.queenslibrary.org.
