Fontbonne Hall Loses Last Match Before Xmas Holidays

Fontbonne Hall Academy’s Jenna DeFillippo On Sunday, December 17th the Fontbonne Varsity swim team closed out the year with a dual meet against the Stanners from Archbishop Molloy High School. Despite good improvements across the board the Stanners proved to be to strong for the Bonnies.

The final score was 96-64 in favor of Molloy. Excellent results were posted by Samantha Motley (2:38.46) in the 200 freestyle, Alexa Morrissey (1:10.8) in the 100 butterfly, Michelle Powers (1:13.4) in the 100 backstroke, and Katie Losquadro (7:22.8) in her first 500 freestyle.

The 4 X 50 freestyle relay posted a 1:54.8 nearly breaking the Fontbonne school record. This defeat pushes the Fontbonne dual meet record to 3-3. Meets will resume after the Christmas break. A Happy New Year to everyone from all the swimmers and coaches at Fontbonne Hall Academy.

Jenna DeFillippo (pictured) is a senior at Fontbonne Hall Academy. She is a Marine Park native, who resides in Good Shepard Parish. Jenna swam in grade school for the Good Shepard CYO. She is a four year member of the Bonnie Varsity, who specializes in both the 50 and 100 yard Freestyle events.

Jenna is thinking about college and a career but has made no decision to date.
