Fontbonne Hall Continues Winning Swimming Formula

Senior Kristin Thurlow, is a resident of Saint Anselm’s Parish where she swam for the Saint Anselm’s CYO while in grade school. After entering Fontbonne, Kristin joined the Bonnie Varsity swim team as a freshman. Kristin has swam the last four years, specializing in the Breast stroke and the 500 yard Freestyle. Kristin has not decided on a college major, she is considering Fairfield, Loyola, Fordham, BC, Marist, Scranton and Saint Joe’s Philly.

After entering Fontbonne, Kristin joined the Bonnie Varsity swim team as a freshman. Kristin has swam the last four years, specializing in the Breast stroke and the 500 yard Freestyle. Kristin has not decided on a college major, she is considering Fairfield, Loyola, Fordham, BC, Marist, Scranton and Saint Joe’s Philly. The GCHSAA swim season continue, on Sunday December 10th, for the Bonnies of Fontbonne Hall Academy as they swam against the girls of Saint John’s Prep.

The Bonnies continued their winning ways with a 88-64 victory, giving them a 3-1 dual meet record, and keeping them in a tie for the Brooklyn division lead.

The Varsity Bonnies were lead by Justine Macready (2:30.1) and April Shaughnessy (2:53.6) in the 200 Freestyle; Michelle Powers (2:45.1), Melissa DeMarco (2:55.4), and Jaclyn Izzo (3:03.1) in the 200 IM.

In the 500 free Macready (7:01.1) and Erin Moloney (7:50.1) led the way with Elaina Anastasio (1:16.2) in the 100 fly, and Katie Kocur (1:15.1) in the 100 freestyle.

Finally Patricia Scherpf (28.7) in the 50 feestyle, and Katie Kocur (1:35.9), and Ashley Conceicao (1:39.1) in the 100 Breast closed out a very successful meet.
