Tree Drop-Off For MulchFest 2007

Parks and Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe invites residents to participate in the eleventh annual MulchFest during the first weekend of January 2007. This citywide service allows New Yorkers to drop off their holiday trees and wreaths as designated parks for mulching. Participation produces mulch that helps Parks & Recreation maintain parks and gardens citywide.

The Rockaway tree drop-off is located at Shore Front Parkway and Beach 94 Street pm Saturday, January 6 and Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All lights, ornaments and decorations must be removed from the trees prior to drop-off. Participants are also encouraged to bring bags to take wood chips and/or mulch home from the chopping sites.
