The Irish Ropes , a documentary directed by The Wave's editorial cartoonist Robert Sarnoff, was screened at the Queens International Film Festival on Sunday, November 19 with great success.

In attendance were many stars of the film, including Eddie McLoughlin, promoter of The Irish Ropes who ran the now-defunct gym; John Duddy, middleweight titleholder; Reynaldo Snipes, former heavyweight boxer; and many others from the boxing community. Friends, family and supporters were left wanting more after the half-hour film was shown. They will soon get their wish, as a full length documentary is presently in the post-production stage.
