Public School/Middle School 105 Celebrates National Children's Book Week

In celebration of National Children's Book Week, the students and staff members of PS/MS 105 dressed up as their favorite book characters on Friday, November 17. All students who came dressed as characters received a book as a prize. This event was coordinated by librarian, Helen Feldman, and is just one of the many events celebrated at PS/MS 105 throughout the year to promote literacy. Pictured is UFT Teacher Center Specialist, Rachel Hayden, dressed as Princess Nyasha from the African folktale, "Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters," with student Ajalae Reynolds dressed as Strawberry Shortcake, and Feldman dressed as The Cat in the Hat.
