$45,000 Grant Continues Revitalization

Community leaders and business representatives join Councilman James Sanders Jr. as he announces securing a $45,000 grant to insure that the Doe Fund continues keeping the streets in the Far Rockaway business district clean. Prior to the announcement, a Doe Fund worker cleans the corner of Mott Avenue and Beach 21 Street. This will be the second year The Doe Fund supplements the work of the Department of Sanitation in keeping the downtown area clean. The program helps men who have been homeless, or in prison, get their lives back on track.
