Bayswater Hosts 'The Absence Of A Cello'
The comedy The Absence of a Cello, running at the Bayswater Jewish Center Theater, Far Rockaway, has been wowing audiences with its insightful take on contemporary themes of truth and honesty. A bankrupt scientist, desperate for a high salary job, is willing to fidddle the facts of his life to fit the corporate image. The results - poignant, yet hilarious - are deftly detailed by playwright Ira Wallach, and sensitively directed by Mario Martone. The portrayals by the all-star cast are "top drawer." Pictured, from left, Tom Dicks as the corporate headhunter, Elliot Schiff, and Stuart Rappaport, the scientist, presenting his doctored resume. Performances on selected Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 3. Details at www.bayplays.com or 516-239-2632.
