Rockaway Ravens Fight For the NFC Title This Weekend

The Rockaway Ravens Football Program had a so-so outing in their first weekend of the playoffs.

In positive news, the Junior Midgets shutout the Harlem Crusaders, 20-0 at Beach Channel High School last Sunday afternoon. The Midgets victory advanced them to the NFC Championship Game at Roy Wilkins Park against the Springfield Rifles at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The Midgets, who had a bye last week, will host the NFC Championship game against the Springfield Rifles at Far Rockaway High School.

That game will start at 12 p.m. on Saturday.

The Mighty Mites lost a close decision to the Staten Island Hurricanes 12-6. The Pee Wees was upended on the road by the Brooklyn Falcons and the Junior Pee Wees was beaten by the Springfield Rifles.

Though the teams did go down to defeat, the organization would like to thank the players, coaches and parents for their hard work this season.
