Fonbonne Volleyball Bonnies Hold Firm In First

As we enter the last week of the regular season, the Fontbonne Varsity and JV Volleyball teams will gear up for what they hope will be an extended playoff run.

On Tuesday October 17th, the Bonnies traveled to Bishop Loughlin, where they faced an improving Loughlin team. After some marathon exchanges, the Bonnie Varsity was able to escape with a 3-1 win.

On the JV side the Bonnies rolled to their eighth win in as many games, in a 2-0 win. Friday, the Varsity met the Eagles of Saint Edmunds on their home court. The Bonnies were able to maintain their edge and cruise to a 3-0 win.

Outstanding Varsity performances continue to be turned in by seniors hitter Kristina Lundberg, Alair Sheehan and Julie Stewart, while the JV continue to follow sophomores, Maggie Sheehan, April Shaughnessy, and Crissy DeMasi.

Entering the final week the Varsity Bonnies stand at 9- 2, in second place, in the Brooklyn division, while the JV is at 9-0, and in first place in Brooklyn.
