Sorrentino Presents Saturday Flag Football Title Games

The Sorrentino/PAL/NFL/Parks and Recreation Flag Football League with hold their flag football championship and consolation games this Saturday at O' Donohue Park on Beach 17 Street.

In the 8-11 year old co-ed championship, The Sorrentino (Grimey) "A" team, John Bradford will face off G-Way team, coached by John Middleton. G-Way features QB Isiah McFadden. Who has proven to be an offensive dynamo running and throwing for numerous touchdowns this season. That game starts at 12:30 p.m.The 12-14 championship will have Team Rockaway, which is coached by Errol Miller, face off against Sorrentino "A" team, coached by Rob Lindo at 2 p.m.

The consolations games will be held at 9:30 and 11 a.m.: Sorrentino "B", coached by Stan Brown, vs. Team Deuce, coached by Issac Parsee will be in the 8-11 game. In the 12-14, Team Cowboys coached by Jose Perez will go against Team Deuce, coached by Chris Frey.

The Sorrentino Center staff would like to thank the kids for their involvement in this year's program: Bernard Robinson- Center Manager, Stan Brown- Sports Coordinator, and Robert Lindo- Assistant Sports Coordinator. Coaches: Issac Parsee, Errol Miller, Chris Frey, Keith Watson, John Middleton and Jose Perez. Officials: Angelo Garcia, Kareem Softleigh and Andre Brown.
