Sanders Denounces 'Cocaine' Energy Drink
A new energy drink named "Cocaine," produced by Redux Beverages LLC and founder Jamey Kirby, has been denounced by Councilman James Sanders Jr.. s
"Cocaine," an energy drink with 280 milligrams of caffeine and sugar, claims that its initial high is within five minutes, followed by a 15 minute caffeine rush. The effects last five hours,
"Mr. Kirby, have you lost all shame? Is there nothing you won't stoop to? What will you market next, Pedophile peanut butter, Gang rape grape juice? How about Genocidal jelly?" Sanders said. Sanders continued to say, "There are only two reasons that you would seek to use this infamous and insidious name to market your energy drink: either you are woefully ignorant of the horrors of cocaine addiction or your God is the dollar bill and not even human life is more sacred."
Sanders has vowed to fight the marketing of the energy drink. "We will fight you with education. We will fight you in the streets and in the churches, in the schools and in the clubs, in the courts and in City Hall," the Councilman said.
Sanders has also proposed a resolution "calling for the New York City Department of Health and the Department of Consumer Affairs to investigate the ingredients in 'Cocaine' to ensure its safety to the people of the City, especially youth."
