Allgood, Messam Named Top PHC Employees
Peninsula Hospital Center and Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation (PCECR) recently held its monthly celebration in honor of its September Employees of the Month, Julian Allgood and Laverne Messam.
These two outstanding employees were nominated by their peers and supervisors and then chosen by a standing review committee of hospital administrators. Allgood is a Preoperative Support Associate assigned to the Operating Room. Those who placed his name in nomination credit him as being "a conscientious worker who is always on time and never complains...one who takes pride in his work...and always has a smile on his face. . . he treats his patients with kindness and respect." Allgood has been working at Peninsula Hospital Center since 1983.
Laverne Messam, a Certified Nurses Assistant assigned to the Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation, joined the staff in 1998. Messam works one on one with PCECR residents and always gives 110 percent to the job, according to her coworkers. She carries herself with dignity and always shows the utmost courtesy and respect to the residents with whom she works.
