St. Saviour High School Summer Activities
Several St. Saviour High School students spent the summer in various athletic and education programs. Breezy Point resident Clare Kearney and her classmate Anjali Ganess were accepted into the Manhattan College Summer Program for high school students to study Engineering and Science.
While in the 10-day program, they studied electrical, mechanical, chemical, computer and civil engineering. Additionally, Kearney and Ganess went on a field trip to a structural engineering firm in Manhattan. "It was an enriching and helpful experience that will influence our decision-making for college, enabling us to have insight on the field of Engineering as well as a feel for the college environment," said both students.
Two other St. Saviour students, seniors Princess Francois and Laura Cobb, also attended summer programs. Francois took undergraduate classes for college credit in the Senior Bridge Program at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. Cobb participated in the World Scholar-Athlete Games at the University of Rhode Island, where she played tennis.
