9/11 Remembrance Ends With Tribute In Light
Tribute Park on Beach 116 Street was filled all day on September 11 with two official ceremonies and hundreds of private moments as friends and relatives remembered those who died in the terrorist attack in the World Trade Center five years ago. Those who stayed around after darkness fell got a view of the two shafts of light from Manhattan representing the Twin Towers. For photographs of the morning flag-raising ceremony, see page 76.
