Nick's Service Station: Serving Rockaway For Nearly 60 Years
Nick Velardi, Sr. opened his service station in Rockaway in 1947, right after World War II and he and his son, Nick Velardi, Jr., have been operating a shop on the peninsula ever since. While Nick, Jr., now runs Nick's Service Station at a new location at Beach 73 Street and Amstel Ave- -nue, he promises the same care and service that did his dad many years ago.
|Pat, Nick and Tom offer personalized service with a smile to all customers. The shop is staffed by only certified mechanics and Nick's promise is that all work will be done quickly and competenty. At left: With four repair bays, Nick offers complete automotive services for both domestic and imported automobiles. He does New York State inspections and offers road service to his customers as well as air conditioner repairs and aftermarket warranty service. His shop, which is open Monday through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays by appointment, can be reached at 718-474-9702. Nick Jr. says that he is proud of his new shop, located just across from the bayfront at Beach 73 Street. "I enjoy going to work each day," he says as he promises the best service on the peninsula. |
