Head coach Richard Washington, along with the Program Director Coach Carter, is pleased from the response of the Rockaway community as a whole and wants to make a point that all boys who are ages 11-14 years old may tryout for our lacrosse program.

NYCHA have returned from a very successful trip this summer to Las Vegas for the New York City vs. Las Vegas Friendship Games. Also on our agenda this season will be NYCHA's first attempt to initiate a girls (11-14 years)

lacrosse program which we will also registering for on Saturday. Coach Washington wishes to inform all of those that are interested that our program is not just about playing lacrosse, but that the program is committed to an educational approach above and beyond.

NYCHA's lacrosse sponsor, FDNY - Firefighter Vin Lamaida, is also enthusiastic regarding our fall registration. Our All-star travel team is getting geared up for our X-Mas tournament trip to San Diego, Ca.

Those parents whose kids are sitting at home playing with those video games, let them come outside and acquire a running attitude with the sport that the greatest NFLand lacrosse player Jim Brown helped to make famous.

See y'all at practice. Be on time!!!!
