As they have for the past eight years, the members of the Shore Garden Club have created a quilt to raise money to maintain gardens in the Rockaway community. This year 13 members, led by Elaine Shein, have continued the tradition, taking needle and thread in hand and sewing a quilt known as "Cathedral Windows."

The quilt's beige background offsets the patches of red, white and blue material, sewn to resemble stained glass windows. The quilt can be used as a decorative wall hanging or as a colorful bedspread.

The Shore Garden Club Members will sell raffle tickets for the quilt at North Fork Savings Bank at Beach 116 Street and at the RMAC Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17.
