Crabber Finds Man's Body In Jamaica Bay

The body of a 40-year-old Hispanic man was discovered Monday evening floating face down in the Mott Basin section of Jamaica Bay, police said. The body was spotted about 15 feet from the shore by another man who was crabbing in the area. Police identified the man Thursday as Edilberto Quinteros Cornejo of Jamaica, Queens. The cause of his death was not known at press time, according to a spokesperson for the Chief Medical Examiner.
