Rockaway Music And Arts Council Hosts LI Pops At Fort Tilden

The Rockaway Music and Arts Council (RMAC) hosted the third in its series of Sunset Picnic Concerts at Fort Tilden on Sunday, featuring the Long Island Pops orchestra conducted by Dean Karahalis. The orchestra played an eclectic mix of oldies, Broadway show tunes, The Doors and Mozart. Pictured, the crowd swelled to more than 800 during the concert.

Vocalists Jim Sergi and Deana Verone wowed the audience with selections from Rogers and Hammerstein as well as from the "Man of La Mancha."
