PHC Hosts Service Awards Breakfast
Peninsula Hospital Center (PHC) and Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation (PCECR) recently hosted its Annual Service Awards at The Beach Club. Honored were employees with five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, thirty-five, and forty years of dedicated service. Nearly every department of the Hospital Center and PCECR was represented in the vast number of this year awardees.
The Five Year Service Award Honorees honored were: Omotayo Alawode, Delroy Seymour Allen, Virginia Atkinson, Olga F. Bailey, Hope Baylow, Naana Abena Bonoh, Carmen M. Calero, Calvin Calloway, Jose E. Carbajal, Phulbas V. Chandarballi, Eileen Collins, Catherine Desagun, Clermith Dessalines, Barrington C. Dwyer, Wisline Examen, Claudia A. Frances, Jacqueline Gethers, Marie Giordanella, Nicola Gonsalves, Horace D. Hall, Alminda Haynes, Amanda Y. Horne, Veronica Hunte, Sonya Isaacs, Eunice Jegede, Judith Kalphat, Kelly A. Those honored for 20 years of service included: Efleda T. Badillo-Manicdao, Francine Callahan, Allen Corby, Edwin Gonzalez, Robert B. Gottesman, Mignonette Johnson, Marilyn Joven, Lorraine Lewis, Sonia Lowe, Eileen McDonald, Jenny Moreno, Phyllis Murrell, Mary Piskin, Norma Reid, Sharon W. Sklar and Katleeen Zimmer.
Twenty-five year honorees included: Carmencita Acosta, Grace J. Benjamin, Ishmael Dryden, Jeanne M. Gilligan, Yvette Hall, Helen M. Mallazzo, Margaret E. Mammes, Janet L. Mc- Gowan, Michelle T. Peterson, Leslie Raifman/Lofrese, Linda A. Thompson and Helen A. Torres.
Very special attention was paid to 35 year veterans Debra Bryant and Jean Rocourt who were treated to fruit trays and dinners for two at area restaurants. The most distinguished honoree at the breakfast festivities was Physical Therapy Aide Martha Kingdamo whose was praised for 40 years of outstanding service. Martha was awarded a giant fruit tray and a $100 dinner gift certificate.
Robert Levine President of Peninsula Hospital Center thanked all in attendance and complimented them on their dedication and commitment to Peninsula Hospital Center and to the Rockaway Community. "It is a wonderful reflection on the Hospital Center that so many of you have remained on staff for so many years," Levine said. "The Hospital Center continues to grow stronger each year and strives to keep up with the needs of its community and patient population. We can only continue in this positive growth and accomplish our goals through the hard work, diligence and commitment of our dedicated staff and I thank those of you present for your loyalty."
