Falling Like Snow In August?

From the looks of it, you could have been fooled, but the white stuff fluttering down in the vicinity of Beach 100 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard last Thursday, August 10, wasn't snow. The frosting seen sweeping across the boulevard was the result of construction workers applying Styrofoam insulation panels to the new multi-unit dwellings going up. The 'flurries' were heaviest between the new buildings and the bungalows on the corner between and Beach 100 and 101 Streets and the boulevard.
